Harder Kulm is the panoramic viewpoint above Interlaken, reached by a short funicular ride.

In just ten minutes, the panorama funicular carries visitors from Interlaken up to its home mountain, Harder Kulm.

For over a century, the funicular has climbed 735 meters in altitude to reach Harder Kulm at 1,322 meters above sea level. The ride begins near Interlaken Ost station, winds through a peaceful forest, and passes by the wildlife park. From the mountain station, it’s only a five-minute walk to the charming restaurant, recognizable by its turrets and red tiled roof.

Beside the restaurant lies the “Two-Lakes Bridge,” an airy viewing platform with a glass floor section. From here, guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Lakes Brienz and Thun, along with the iconic peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.
